Previously, Majors featured 24 teams. However, tournament organisers have increased the number of competing teams to 36, adding an extra competition stage to this event. 

Vitality, MOUZ, Spirit, The MongolZ, Aurora, G2, Natus Vincere, and Liquid are Stage 3 invitees. Team Falcons, FaZe Clan, 3DMAX, Virtus.pro, paiN Gaming, FURIA, MIBR, and M80 will compete in Stage 2. 

All other teams will compete in Stage 1. Austin’s Moody Center will serve as the venue for the tournament’s concluding stage and playoffs.

The first phase will run from June 3 to 6. 16 teams will compete in a Swiss System format. To qualify for Stage 2, competing sides must win 3 matches. The top 8 teams from this phase will advance to Stage 2; the other 8 exit the contest.

The second phase of this contest will commence on June 7 and conclude on June 10. 8 teams have received invites to this round. They will compete alongside the top performers from Stage 1. This phase will also follow a 16-team Swiss System format, with the top 8 sides progressing to Stage 3.

After a one-day break, Stage 3 will begin on June 12 and continue through June 15. This stage combines the top 8 teams from the second round with directly invited Stage 3 squads. The contest will also unfold as a 16-team Swiss system competition. The 8 strongest performers from this Swiss format will secure their positions in the final single-elimination championship bracket.
